The Presidential delegation just spent 30 minutes and chilled in the beautiful landscape of a depuration plant! Mission accomplished, the easy integration of a Phytorem station in public spaces. No buzzing, a lack of smells. Simplicity, effectiveness and perfectly esthetic.

The company Phytorem Mexico was founded in November 2013, to represent Phytorem SA in Mexico. Phytorem benefited of an agreement (portage) organized by the International Regional Chamber of Commerce (CCIR) of the French Provence PACA, with the support of its President, Mr. Michel Vauzelle and Jean-Daniel Beurniers (President of the CCIR PACA). Eurocopter-EADS, now called AIRBUS HELICOPTERS, showed a great interest and was volunteered to host Phytorem Mexico by giving an office, assistance and contacts during 18 months, in order to allow Phytorem Mexico to explore and study the Mexican market and the businesses opportunities.

Nowadays, Mexico produces 14 billions of cubic meters of wastewater. Most of them are rejected without any sort of treatment into the environment, generating great damages and pollution to rivers, water bodies and to aquifers. With a traditional solution of activated sludge plants, the investment needed would be in the ranges of 50 billion Euros, with operation costs of about 7 billion Euros per year. An investment on Phytorem stations would reduce these figures down to 30% in terms of investment costs and lower the operational cost 10 times than a traditional technology. Thereby, the lack of infrastructure and the absence of collection systems, boost the realization of decentralized depuration stations, adaptable and evolutional, with low maintenance costs. Phytorem concluded that the Mexican market represents a truly commercial opportunity and that Phytorem’s solution embodies an opportunity for Mexico.

In this favorable context, Eurocopter (Airbus Helicopters) signed very quick a contract to construct a plant that would allowed them to treat their domestic wastewaters in their Queretaro plant.

“This contract allowed us to conceived and realized our first Phytorem station in Mexican soil. It will be use as a pilot station and to demonstrate to our potential clients how our technology works” stated Dominique Gavault, President of Phytorem Mexico.

“Our plans foresee a potential turnover of the order of 5 million Euros with a team of fifty people.

Moreover, Phytorem France will benefit of royalties over the contracts signed in Mexico, and as sub-contractor (assistance) to support complex projects in Mexico.
